CARE INSTRUCTIONS
To ensure the longevity and maintain the elegance of your natural wood furniture, please follow these recommendations:
– Moisture and Temperature Control: Keep your wood furniture away from damp or wet surfaces, and protect it from direct sunlight and extreme heat. Temperature changes caused by heaters, fireplaces, and air conditioners can reduce the wood’s moisture content, potentially causing splitting, shifting, or warping.
– Protective Measures: Avoid placing abrasive items directly on your furniture. Always use protective pads, placemats, or coasters under hot dishes, teapots, saucepans, and similar items. Even though our furniture surfaces are treated with heat-resistant lacquer, excessive heat can still transfer through and leave marks on both the wood and the lacquer.
– Spill Management: Immediately wipe up spills with a soft cloth. While our lacquer is water-resistant, it is not impervious to excessive moisture. If exposed to substantial amounts of water, liquids can eventually penetrate the lacquer, causing swelling, blistering, and potentially irreparable damage to the wood.
– Chemical Avoidance: Prevent any contact between your natural wood furniture and substances like acetone, methylated spirits, markers, glues, or cleaning products containing silicone.
– Limited Covering: Avoid covering your furniture for prolonged periods. Extended covering can trap moisture, which may harm your furniture.
Following these care instructions will help keep your natural wood furniture looking beautiful and well-maintained for years to come.
